Prostate cancer significantly impacts men both physically and emotionally, and often changes their quality of life. Beyond the potential for life-threatening progression, it can lead to challenges such as urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction, Psychologically, the diagnosis itself can provoke anxiety, depression, and fear of the unknown. Often the treatment of cancer is the focus on the medical system, rather than survivorship. We aim to offer survivorship care to men, starting at the time of prostate cancer diagnosis.

What is survivorship?
Prostate cancer survivorship is a journey marked by resilience, adaptation, and ongoing care. For many men, surviving prostate cancer means learning to manage the physical and emotional after effects of the disease and its treatment. Common challenges include urinary incontinence and sexual dysfunction, which can impact daily life and self-esteem.
We offter the latest advancements in rehabilitation and supportive care, to help men thrive post-treatment.

What do you specifically offer?
Our clinic is focused on providing early education on the effects of prostate cancer treatments on continence, sexual function, and quality of life. We ensure timely and appropriate treatments are offered to men throughout their prostate cancer journey.

What is the cost?
Attendance to the clinic is covered through OHIP. Treatment for incontinence, and erectile dysfunction include both OHIP funded and non-funded options.

How do I attend?
We accept referrals for prostate cancer patients from your urologist or oncologist. Patients cannot self-refer to the clinic. Please talk to your doctor about a referral.
